The Federal Family Education Loan Program (FFELP) is to be American college students and their families funded with additional financial aid from the federal government. Federal student loans are Stafford loans, Perkins Loans, and the Federal Republic of loans. Students are automatically considered for them if they file the FAFSA annually. The Stafford Loan comes in two versions: subsidized and unsubsidized, and is the single most widely used student loans, nearly every student the requirements for a type of financial assistance from the Stafford Loan program.
